S2 E17: Is That A Beer Stick Or Are You Just Happy To See Us?

Remember when we fangirled over Fuggles? Well, this week we're talking to the Alex Greig, Director/Owner/Beer Guy at Fuggles Beer Café in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge. We sit down and talk to him about opening a pub, the proper way to make spag bol (or bowl), and how he decides what wines/beers/gins he puts on the menu.

WINESUP

As Alex is a beer man, we thought we'd share a beer story. And this week, we learned that someone up north somewhere found a snake tangled up in some beer lines and it's literally our worst nightmare. Or it was, until Angela told us one of her bar horror stories... Seriously, WTF dudes?!

WANKIEST WINE REVIEW OF THE WEEK

Dining in the dark is wanky full-stop, but being wanky about wine on top of dining in the dark is extra wanky and this review proves it. BUT if you or someone you know has had a positive dining in the dark experience, please hit us up. We refuse to believe that this is an enjoyable thing but are happy to hear your positive (and horror!) stories about it.

THE DRINKING

We're drinking a black forest gateau-esque De Martino Estate Carmenere from Chile, which we enjoy at Fuggles, but you can buy somewhere else at a very reasonable price if you don't have the pleasure of living near a Fuggles.

This Bottle Bitches episode was produced by Producer Paul (PP) of Dark Horse Digital who is currently arranging some pickled eggs and beer stick into a "comedy scene" at his local Fuggles Beer Café.
